Postdoctoral fellowship opportunity at the University of Notre Dame! This is a new initiative the university is trying to get off the ground, which is why the position has come a little late in the job-hunting season.
In short, the Provost’s Postdoctoral Fellowship is offering 6 fellowships next year, one of which is in the discipline of History. The search is an open one, anyone working in History, regardless of sub-field, is invited to apply.
Here are a few of the contours of the fellowship, though, applicants should see the link above for more details:
- The fellowships are for one year, with the option for a one-year renewal.
- The annual salary is $75,000.
- Each postdoctoral fellow will be paired with a faculty mentor.
- The fellow will receive $15,000 for research or professional development.
Lastly, the fellowship program is part of the university’s new strategic framework. And so applicants are encouraged to read through the framework and link their research to the university’s goals. Here is the link to the strategic framework: https://strategicframework.nd.edu/initiatives/
The deadline is 31 March, which does not leave much time. If your colleagues or students have any questions, then they can email me at [email protected].
