Daphne Tang receives Arnold Prize for Outstanding Writing on Baltimore’s History

JHU Undergraduate Daphne Tang (IS major) was the recipient of this year’s Arnold Prize for Outstanding Writing on Baltimore’s History awarded by the Baltimore City Historical Society.

Daphne’s award-winning paper was based on research that she did in the History seminar “The Year 1968: Rebels, Revolutions, and the Right-Wing Backlash” (AS.100.497) taught by Prof. Victoria Harms last fall.

The award is an acknowledgement of Daphne’s nuanced and detailed understanding of Baltimore’s complex history and a confirmation of her outstanding analytical and intellectual capabilities. Congratulations to Daphne and her advisor, Victoria Harms, on this remarkable achievement!
