Ada Ferrer is the Julius Silver Professor of History and Latin American and Caribbean History at New York University. She is among the world’s leading experts on Cuba. Her Pulitzer Prize winning book, “Cuba: An American History,” is a study of the complex relationship between Cuba and U.S., examining more than five centuries of Cuba’s past.
