On March 28th, the History Department welcomed Ann Laura Stoler, the Willy Brandt Distinguished Professor of Anthropology and Historical Studies at the New School for Social Research, to present the Leonard and Helen R. Stulman Lecture titled, “Democracy’s Contract with Inequality: Embedded in its Fold.”

After the seminar, we welcomed the department and public to attend the dinner reception in the Gilman Hall Atrium.
