The Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship was established in 1925 by Senator Simon Guggenheim and offers fellowships to exceptional individuals in pursuit of scholarship. This year, 2025, the Guggenheim Fellowship “celebrates a century of support for the lives and work of visionary scientists, scholars, writer, and artists,” according to the current foundation president, Edward Hirsch, on their website.
