SPRING SEMESTER CURATORIAL STUDENT WORKER

PROJECT
This internship can be completed for pay at $15 per hour. The selected student will work for 5 hours per week primarily on site at Evergreen Museum & Library on a schedule to be arranged between the student and the Curator of Collections.
This spring semester, the curatorial intern will work closely with the Curator of Collections to go through Evergreen Museum & Library’s 20th century photography collection. Identifying suitable sub-collections, the student will reorganize and track photographs pertaining to museum objects, the historic structure, and museum events. Their work will ultimately be used to increase public research accessibility to Evergreen’s 20th century photography collection as well as internal accessibility to the photographic history of the museum.
Additional work may include: identifying photographs suitable for upcoming exhibitions, reviewing and correcting catalogue information for 19th century photographs, digitization of photographs, and assisting the curator in routine duties around the museum.
ELIGIBILITY
All candidates must be enrolled as undergraduate students at Johns Hopkins University and should have some relevant coursework in at least one of the following: American art, American architecture, American history, anthropology, material culture, education, or the Museums & Society Program.
