Call for Papers: LSU Graduate Student Conference

The LSU HGSA is pleased to announce its 16th Annual History Conference, March 7-8, 2025 in Baton Rouge, LA, and formally extends an invitation to all history and history adjacent graduate students to submit their papers.

“Southern Perspectives” welcomes submissions from students studying the South, broadly construed, or from history students who simply reside in or have some connection to the American South. No topic or methodology is off the table. In other words, if you are a graduate student with historical work to showcase and are anywhere near the South in mind or body, come on down!

Graduate students interested in presenting a paper (or panel) should submit a 250-word (max) abstract per paper and brief CV by December 31, 2024.

Notice of acceptance will be provided by mid-January. Full papers of no more than ten double-spaced pages will be expected by mid-February. Complete panels are welcomed but not expected. There will be a registration fee of $30 to pay for food and other expenses.
