Call for Papers: Richard Macksey National Undergraduate Humanities Research Symposium

Present your humanities research to a national audience right here at Hopkins!

The Richard Macksey National Undergraduate Humanities Research Symposium brings together undergraduate students from colleges and universities across the country to present their humanities research to a national audience. This year’s symposium – the seventh annual – will be held from March 19-21, 2026, on the Homewood campus. Submissions (in the form of a title and abstract) are due by December 1, 2025.

In addition to about 150 student presentations, the Macksey Symposium features a welcome reception at the Baltimore Museum of Art, a keynote address by Sophia Rosenfeld, and ample opportunities for networking and connection over breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the conference. All presenters are invited to submit an article-length version of their research project for publication in our journal of proceedings, the Macksey Journal.
