JHU Museums is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated student to encourage and grow student engagement with Home Museum and Evergreen Museum & Library during the spring 2026 semester through creative outreach programs and opportunities. This internship is perfect for someone interested in event planning, social media, student engagement, museums, or any related fields. Interested candidates of all majors are encouraged to apply.
The intern will work predominantly from Homewood Museum on the Homewood Campus from late January to the end of the spring semester.
Responsibilities:
● Assist with event outreach including email, flyers, and other communication channels targeted to students
● Develop social media content for the museums’ student audience
● Plan, budget, and take ownership of one student-focused museum event at the end of the semester
● Collaborate with the JHU Museums Student Engagement Coordinator to track attendance and evaluate outreach strategies
Skills & Qualities:

● Independent and able to take initiative
● Interest in event planning and student engagement
Compensation:
● $1,500 stipend for the spring semester with an expected workload of 5-7 hours per week over the course of the semester, approximately 14 weeks.
